Making progress...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

41 is pretty easy. Plus it's just a fun song to play.

There, I did it for all you bitchy whiners that were going to say that...

i think i need to defend myself here.. i the play the intro with slightly different fingerings and it sounds damn near the same. Okay if your a purist you won't like it, but i think it sounds good. i play the intro like this:

e----------------------------------
B------------------8---------------
G----5-----7------0----e----------------
D----x-----x------x--- m-------------------
A----7-----9------7----a----------------------
E----5-----7------0----s---------------------

For the first two chords i just moved the notes from D string to the A string, then just muted the D string. the third chord still sounds good the way i do it, letting that low E ring sounds good, and the fouth chord is the same as the original tab. it works for me, plus it makes a great song ALOT less frustrating to learn and play. let me know what any of you think.

jesus, songs can be played in a different easier way
were you at the beginning kinda motha fucka player that could play these crazy chords?
i can play them freely but there's nothing to be proud about - some people have shorter fingers or generally they hands suck at the guitar should they then kick their guitars and do not play?
it's crazy sometimes when i read some posts and people say that dmb songs can be played in one way only

where are you going
what you are
grace is gone
too much

there's a lot of simple songs to play. singing along is sometimes much more difficult

#41 isnt really that bad? once ur hands are used to dave songs you can usually do stretch without a problem,. not really ne worse then cry freedom, crash, etc. plus the versus is very simple imho.
if you can get the main riff of ants marching, its really simple. try that

What fun is it to play songs exactly the same way as someone else. It's restricting your own creativity. So you can copy someone else. That would be as much as if dave or any respectable artist played their songs the same way at every concert they did. some songs, satellite, stone, okay, purist. others, get over it.

ants is great to get you used to dave's style of muted slaps.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

try warehouse and satellite, both are similar in stretch and very fun to play.
