What does Dave play at the beginning of the song? it's not the thing from the tab, cause it sounds deeper to me... Anyway, and how does he do this "picking and slowly fading into strumming"-thing?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe he's just playing the first chord of the verse over and over again(the pinky on 10, middle 8, first finger on 7 chord)...then after a while, he goes into the "fall back again" part. The rhythm sounds like it goes down, up up, down down...down, up up, down down(something like that).

Agree anyone?
