Dave and Picks

Unread post by paywad927 » Tue Dec 03, 2002 6:41 pm

does anyone know what songs dave uses a pick for and which ones he doesnt. ive been playin dave songs for a little while but i feel more comfortable without the pick. i was just wondering if using a pick would make it sound better.

without a pick:

Pay For What you Get
Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors
Everyday (sometimes)
Where Are You Going (sometimes)
Captain (on Lillywhite Sessions) it sounds like it anyway
Grace is Gone
Christmas Song

The rest are played with a pick, I believe
good, and you?

yes. I like the finger picking if I want a mellower, softer sound and a pick if I want a brighter louder sound. I switch it up all the time. Even for songs like The Stone and Satellite. what ever you feel sounds best. Dave does use a pick more often though.
good, and you?
