Bartender Jam?
Bartender Jam?
I was listening to a live version of Bartneder a while back and noticed during the jam, dave starts to play some higher sounding notes compared to the tabs on the site in some parts. I know im not being specific enough but if anyone knows what i am talking about, do you have a tab of it or anything....yeah im a bit new

It sounds like he is playing notes an octave higher because he plays it on a twelve string, and which has a pair of strings, a main and a high string, for every note.

Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead

I know that he plays it on a twelve string. I will try finding the song specs and giving a specific time. All I know hes prob doing some improv riffs during the jam. To me it sounds something on the last few strings at like the 12 fret...i might be smokin too much though
EDIT: Got it! well the specs...I have the bartender version from alpine valley 04 night 1-kick ass concert, went both nights-and the thing im talking about is at like the 6:10 mark. I know it might be a reach to see if anyone has the tabs for what im talking bout, but its such a kick ass part and i want to play it for my gf

not really. the b and e strings are doubled, no octave higher/lower.Davy28 wrote:It sounds like he is playing notes an octave higher because he plays it on a twelve string, and which has a pair of strings, a main and a high string, for every note.

Could, be, but it is a common error I have seen made to mistake a twelve string for high fretting.

I've noticed that too, it looks like the same style chords as the Too Much fills and Anyone Seen the Bridge.bartrum wrote:it's kind of funny--I was actually watching Bartender on the Folsum Field DVD today and noticed that he definitely plays something different towards the end. I can't give you a time mark right now, but I would like to know what he's playing.
