I agree...when I started, I thought it was in drop D! (i was like 10... )
:D you live you learn (Alanis Morrisette)

I actually played it this way when I first learned Satellite: (the bottom line are the finger numbers, the dashes are to "keep em' separated" (Offspring)

Intro/Verse
E:-------------------------------------------------
B:-------------------------------------------------
G:---------3--------------------------------------
D:-----------------6-------5-----3--------6------
A:-----6-------4-------3--------------4------3----
E:-4---------------------------6-------------------4..(and so on... )
---2---4---1--2--4----1--3--4---1---2---4--1---2

the least amount of stretching and not much movement.
good, and you?

grave diggers way is definitely easiest: least movement and stretching.

You can slap a bar the neck at the third fret and play that arrangement flawlessly, that's how little movement there is.

Yes, but if you get this "stacked 5th" down, you just move it up and down...another thing is the sound of the chord itself...I like the sound better with the bass stings walking

Oh, I'm not talking about which sounds the best. I'm just talking about what's easiest. Whenever I play Satellite, which is pretty rarely right now, I throw a capo on the fourth or fifth fret and play around that, as I don't play with anyone, and I need a fuller sound than what can be generated by playing in Ab on the guitar without a capo.
