yea after her is sattelite played with different lyrics (kinda the same chorus though). My brother has been a dave fan for many years so he has run into a lot of music that hes gotten from people personal with the band so im not sure if these versions are downloadable. one of them sounds almost the same as the one u posted but the other has more lyrics, something about time and patience, and running up a mountain. i dont really think songs that emerged into newer songs should be considered with songs that have just disappeared though when deciding whats rare, cuz in a way we still hear these defunct songs all the time in their new form (say goodbye, sattelite). Ive never heard Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors so that songs def. rare in my mind, same with toy soldiers, mothers night and once on a wild afternoon, though im sure they are good tunes.

I've only come accross 1 version of "After Her" my self, but it's Sattelite w/ diff. words. Rare? I guess, a little, but if I played it for my mom who has no clue who Dave matthews is, I bet she'd say "isn't that Sattelite" only because it's a radio song that has been played the fuck out. Ya know?? So it's rare for fans like us (because of the lyrics changing 100%).

well same goes for anti noise, play it and someone will think "say goodbye?" cuz its the same chords as the outro just more words n such, so that thinking doesnt really make much of a point. i still consider anti noise extremly rare but not the rarest. i gotta get to work so i'll let the rest of the guys on the boards post their opinions since mine usually isnt right hehe. peace...

theres only 2 of the times it was played is it on ants, and the other its only for b&p... do you want me to find you a any noise anti noise? i already have one, and ill get some more if need be, they arent that hard to find.digidydan wrote:Ok, let me tell you what I mean by "rare" It's a song that few people have heard or more importantly can get a hold of. "Heathcliff's Haiku's Warriors can be found on any site. This site has the tabs for it as a matter of fact. So, your fact finding -
"Any Noise / Anti Noise "It's gracious of you"
Times Played: 8
Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors
Times Played: 3
source: dmbalmanac
hmmm well i think that settles it"
... get's an "A".
But back to "rarest song" Find me another recording of the song I posted faster than I can find 50 different "Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors" and you win. Everybody and their mother has a copy of that song. Man that's a rare song to have (Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors) haha! Now, you understand the meaning of a rare song?

I got Any Noise/Anti Noise back in the "napster days", along with almost all of my rare mp3 dmb stuff. Also, I think rarer songs would be soundcheck ones. Let's stop arguing what's rarer, though, it's kind of silly
. . . Ok, who's 45 year old mom would go to alpine with you, stand up in the chair and sing and dance right along to every song? 8)

I know if I played After Her to my mom, she would say, "um, yeah it's an earlier version of Satelite, why are asking me this?" She knows about 75% of their stuff, lol, and knows Dave's style. So whenever she hears me playing a dmb song, she knows who it's by, by just listening to the strumming and the singing.digidydan wrote:I've only come accross 1 version of "After Her" my self, but it's Sattelite w/ diff. words.
