What's up with Direct Connect?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

What's up with Direct Connect?

Unread post by borocks » Tue Jul 01, 2003 11:09 am

I recently tried a few times to connect to the DMB-Hub "dmbshare.servebeer.com". It didn't work. has the hub been closed?
Is there a hub where I can get DMB-stuff? Or is an other Peer-to-Peer program better? (Plz don't propose KaZaA...)

Thank you all.

There are also tons of good dmb/dave + tim/dave solo shows on the Furthur Network. Check it out, there's a link in my signature.

What do you define as slow? You can only download as fast as the source can upload. It's just like any other file sharing network. You really have to not worry about how long it takes to download the concert. Most people just set it and forget it. Believe me, it's worth it. I already have dmb2003-06-27. You'll love Furthur. Get to check out tons of other great music too. Tons of jambands.

anyway.. enough with this praise. enjoy :)

That it is badass.. I'm gonna have to download that. I want the 6.30 show. How long does it usually take for a show to get on?

Really depends on the taper. In this case it was up in a few days. Another taper could take a month. It's all good. I have shows from '92 and I've seen some from '91.

Just checked now, and I didn't see it. Someone may have it up but just isn't online at the moment, though. I do see 6.20, 6.23, 6.24, 6.27 if you're only interested in the new shows. 1991-05-11 is up right now (band's first paid performance).

Yes.

Also, a lot of us here are Bit Torrent fans, you might want to check it out, that way you have more options. http://www.sharingthegroove.org --> audio bit torrent downloads --> 2003 summer tours : you can get dave shows the instant they're up in the newsgroups or tiedye gets them from the taper.
