Chord Help

Unread post by JustAnotherAnt » Wed Dec 22, 2004 9:05 am

Does anyone here have any advice on how to play the following chord:

e:-1--
B:-3--
G:-3--
D:-3--
A:-1--
E:----

I am having a really hard time with this chord, any tips would be great, thanks. I tried playing it like it says in the Dave Style Lessons area and that seem almost impossible without muting the high F.

i usually fuck the high F. you already get the F from the 3 on the D...you're just doubling it...not a huge deal.

yea, for the most part, when you play a barred chord with the root on the a string, you usually aren't going to get the note on the high e to ring out so well...but who needs it? and if you're looking for something to ring out, try playing it like this sometime x13333...just get the high e with the finger that's doing the barring and that gives you something a little different

and of course, you could always play a Bb barred chord with the root on the low e string and then you'll get a Bb on the high e :)
B+P by offer only...thank you

use your pinky, mine bends so that it doesn't mute the e.
