Ya, I have incredibly short fingers...
From knuckle to tip my middle finger is exactly 3 3/8"...
Haven't had too many problems playing yet though...
...and no, it is not a scientific fact that your penis size can be determined by your hand size, I'm living proof...

If you can comfortably lay your index down on 1 and your pinky on 5.. then you have pretty much everything covered.. I've been playing for years and have never had any problems..
I'd be more interested to know how down the neck you can fret something like.. xx1346 .. I can pull that off at the 5th fret (no buzzing, comfortably).. I think something like that is a better measure of finger reach and dexterity
