half step in the old school

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

just thought i'd note to all those who can't reach the high vocals of warehouse...i was watching the 12.28.93 dvd today and dave plays warehouse as well as all the songs on that dvd a half step down...i tried it, and it makes it much easier to sing. :D

yea, i noticed that too...pretty weird, i wonder if he just didn't have a tuner or what? that's the only time I've ever heard him play it like that. but yea, it's easier to sing too as well :)

Slap a capo on 1 and tune to standard and then release capo.

either with an electric tuner or by ear....

tune your low E down so that the 6th fret sounds like the A string, then tune it like you would in standard (5th fret to the open string thing.. except 4th fret on the G) your basically making the string sound one fret lower

if you need help with that, just ask

wow, I never thought of that capo idea. So if I wanted to tune a whole step down, could I put a capo on the second fret and tune to standard, then release it?? :?:

thanks a lot for the help so far, I had no intention of highjacking this thread..

It's not very good, and isn't very accurate. Do that then use your tunr and see how bad it's out of tune.
