I think most of you probably know this also but I figured I can't leave it out of my own message board. I posted this on the other message boards also......peace

Alright, first off....sorry about the down time. Someone hacked into the server and put a virus on there. It wasn't anythign specific to do with the site.

Next up, I know I put the description up about the DVD about 3 months ago....and all you must be saying, "Damn, nothing has been happening and it was all just speculation" Well, that's not true at all.

I got jerked around by a member of DMB's OLD PR team for 2 months and wasn't able to get ANYTHING done during that time. Ya see, I need to get DMB's approval to use their song names and whatnot. This means I need to be able to use the DMB licenses. Since my investor is putting nearly $5,000 into this project, he wanted to make sure I actually had permission before I went ahead and spent all that $$$ on the equipment.

After finally getting in touch with the DMB Legal team I sent them a Business Proposal with a whole lot of information about the DVD and some example of what I can play(songs I recorded, some video's). They e-mailed me back asking that I send them a DVD or VHS showing what the DVD will be like.

Now, I had nothing of the sort.....so I decided to go out and buy some equipment to make a Pre-production DVD. This DVD has 2 songs on it(Satellite & So Much To say). Both songs have 2 angles that show the fretted hand(like on the site) and a full body shot of me & the guitar in order to show the strumming along w/ the fretting.

I will be overnighting this DVD out to the woman I am in contact with on MONDAY. It will get there tuesday and hopefully by the end of next week I will be able to order all the equipment so I can start the DVD. It will most likely

I'm pretty excited about the DVD since I've only been playing for a few short months, and have been looking for something exactly like this! I hope you'll get all the necessary red tape out of the way soon and get the DVD out to the fans.

Ha....to tell you the truth, I have NO idea what was supposed to go there. My internet cut off the message when it was submitted. I submitted it on AM.org and just copied and pasted it here, nancies, and the bridge.

Chances are it said something about when I will most likely get started or something to do with a time period. I really do not know.

BUT, as of now, the DVD is in the Hands of the DMB Legal Team and I await a response as to whether or not I can get the DMB licenses to use on the DVD. If I don't get the licenses things don't look too good, but I would have to see then. AS OF NOW, things are looking VERY good. More news when it comes out...peace

I think it's good your getting permission, save you a lot of hassle down the road. While you have the communication open with the band you should ask if Dave would do an intro or something.

Probably wouldn't happen (I know) but couldn't hurt and stranger things have happened.

I know its a depressing thought for you, but is there any chance the legal team will say no? It sounds like you have got a pretty good read on their feelings and ideas about the project, so I was just wondering

Hell, if I get the same profits....get to video tape the DVD...then FUCK YEAH I'd LOVE to have Dave play on it. Who better to teach people how to play DMB songs on guitar than Dave!!!

Of course it's possible. From my personal opinion I think I should get permission but anything could happen. Hopefully they say yes, that's all I can say. The way things seem to be going, everything is smooth. The lady is extremely nice and the lines of communication are wide open. Keep your fingers crossed though....seems like it's going to be about a week or so till I hear.....peace

Man you are one dedicated dude. Thank you so much for all your hard work on this site and your relentlous tabbing. You don't know how much I appreciate being able to play DMB songs so accurately. Believe me, so do those around me who listen. I could never in a gazillion years do it without this site. Good luck with the DVD.

Can you give us a run down on what tunes you plan on putting on the DVD.
Will there be anything you don't have a video for on this web site like I don't know maybe LIOG and maybe tripping billies, the verse has been a true test of my patience. Please throw us a bone.

P.S. Will there be singing with the songs? That would help people find the changes.
