umm... taylor doesnt do deals. i think the only thing taylor gives away is the limiteds and those are only given away to the people who design it.

Chet IS cool (I still kick mine around sometimes - when it isn't hanging from the raters
)...Taylors are awesome (my main guitar)...Martins are great...but Shane, Gibson makes some real nice acoustics too you know

their Jumbos can put out some real great acoustic tones...but agreed...Taylor is better IN MY HUMBLE OPINION (don't start a war)shane wrote:just stating my experience with them... i played some at the gibson showcase in nashville and i really did not like them.

i gotta agree with shane
i have played a total of one gibson acoustic that i liked. it was absolutely beautiful, only around $900 but sounded like it was twice the price. it was really an amazing guitar in looks and sound, but i do not remember what model it was, and every time i go back i find a gibson that just doesnt compare. it's almost like the people in the store are playing a trick on me... "he's coming back! quick, raise the action on all the gibsons!"
just my experience, but when i was buying my guitar i didn't even consider gibson. it was between the 814, the 614, and the HD28.
gibson electrics on the other hand...mmm...

"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."
