Another trippin billies q

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Ok, during the verse, instead of playing the 5 26 24 part, is there anything different I can do instead of that?? Thanks

i suppose you could play it as chords

i think it's A, D, C, Bm...A, D, D/F#, G

then the chorus would be Bm, A, D/F#, G, Bm, A...Bm, A, D/F#, G, A, Bm

Is it the stretch getting to you?? If so, just work at it, you'll get it, basically, don't be a pussy ;) Just messin, it'll come though, the cramps will go away.

Yeah I'm the guy that made the other post about trippin billies... it's hard for sure!... but after practicing a lot at it, the stretch just comes natural. I think it's better to keep practicing it the rigth way then to learn a diff. version of how to play it... hang in there, you'll get it.

If you can't make the stretch, you probably need to start with some songs that don't have as bad of a stretch in them... The one that really got me started was Everyday. Then I just progressed from there. SMTS good for accuracy too.

Another one that would help is playing Crash Into Me the way Dave does. That's a pretty good stretch. Everyday is a good suggestion, and Cry Freedom has the exact same fingering that the Everyday bridge that he's talking about does.
