and rightfully so. tim knows when not to play, which is a great attribute. tim can't play *ALL THE TIME*.

i cant ever hear a lot of stuff that tim does when he plays with dmb. he should have more solos

well i suppose i should rephrase, i can hear him playing, but i dont think he plays enough. i feel he should attribute more.

he plays plenty and contributes more than enough, enough to make songs sound busy and jumbled.

whereas bela just flows so smooth. tim definatley fits better with just dave then with the band.

I love them both, the one thing i wish tim would do is play an acoustic with the band, i know it may not fit as well as the electric with the full band but we all know what tim can do with an acoustic, i just think it would flow a lil better with the dave and the band, just as bela does.

Amen.

Tim spices up an otherwise sometimes boring DMB live. He gives a new lease on life to some of their older songs. Tim is the reason I bought 12-8. I probably wont buy Golden Gate as I don't need to here Santana's one minor pentatonic scale that he knows on multiple songs.
