Dave's Englemann spruce tops

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

No bro, it's definetly not darker..same peice of wood, two different sides of it. It's what cabinet makers do. The rip it in two and put them side by side. The color difference you see is lighting from the way he holds it

really?? i've always thought the same thing, i knew that it is the piece of wood, but i've always thought that one side was darker than the other.
DMBFan63 is right. They don't do it for archtops, though, that is just 1 piece.

Oh, also, I have noticed in the latest issue of Musician's Friend, they carry Taylors now. And on one page with big pictures are the 814-CE and the 914-CE.
