So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Problems with playing jkanter's videos

Unread post by mlb1399 » Wed Oct 20, 2004 7:38 pm

Alright, I did a search on this and found a thread that had two links to download to solve this problem. I followed the instructions and I still can't get the videos up. I get an error message that I am missing required software and the server for quicktime is unavailable. Anyone got any ideas?

If I remember right the videos are in DivX. Try http://www.divx.com and download the codec.

As far as I know, QuickTime on Windows doesn't support DivX. You'll need to change your file association for .avi files to Windows Media Player or the DivX player.

Yeah, i downloaded divx. What i have to do is download in quicktime, which fails, then save url, then click open url in divx. Any idea how i switch it to automatically play when the link is clicked?
