So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I can't help but laughing a little bit because alot of people here really hates Mayer , but lately everyone have been talking about him , and there has been 2 topics right after each other with a line like " Who Is A Better Guitarist " am i the only one who finds that shit funny or what ?

Ok for my first serious post. You can't say Jack Johnson is even in the same realm of playing that Mayer is. You may like his riffs more or something like that but when it comes down to sheer skill, Mayer has displayed umpteen times the amount Johnson has. This isn't to say that someone who likes Jack Johnson better is dumb or whatever but John Mayer has displayed more skill. Who knows, maybe Jack Johnson is phenominal but he hasn't shown it yet.

Hey, he does have a serious, intelligent side to him afterall. Good to see. I agree as well.

Yes, I see your point, I do like Jack's licks in the beginning of some of his songs, but his second album I just listened to (which is very good, but too similar to his first to be noteworthy) doesn't contain that same feeling that John Mayer's albums have.

Yep, pick up Any Given Thursday, it's out on DVD and CD now (I have both.

). And yes, Mayer's better than Johnson.

OK, I watched John and Jack each play live (from some crappy bootleg videos) and I agree, John knows more guitar than Jack.
