Hey I wasnt knocking you man, I was just saying its better to learn things right the first time. Play it however you want. But if you play it any way other than what is tabbed on this site, theres no chance your way sounds closer to what dave plays.

Thats sort of a contradiction there, dont you think?

Its funny how everyone recommends Crash , even though it has a hard stretch for beginners , they still seem to work it out so its all good , and they get off on a good start with stretching more complex chords

Dude. Learn The Stone. That is for sure the easiest song out there. Nothing to hard, or complex, no extremely hard rythym or switching between strumming and picking there. An extremely easy song.

Don't listen to that. Disregard the above statement. After a careful proofreading, I discovered that I am full of shit.

Spoon is your best bet. Or IBYU.

"When you see something like that, you call it MR. Johnson"

If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then give up. There's no use being a damn fool about it.

Learning crash kicked my ass.
My first song I was able to get down was the song that jane likes.
Don't drink the water is good for beginners too.

hrmm, daves music is tough

I think it depends whether or not you are new to playing daves music or just a new guitar player. In the case that dave's music is new to you... I think you would be best of trying to get songs like (lie in our graves).. simple chords picking isn't bad.. great song. if you are really new at the guitar and wanna start playing dave stuff rigth away... granny, typical, proudest monkey. songs like crash are difficult, they are stretchy and they hurt yoru hand.. anyways thats all i'll say..
Its like... getting two birds stoned at once. (Ricky-trailor park boys).
