So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

hey this is to grock. there was no sarcism intended in my post...i have been playing since this past september(8 months). i guess playing the drums helped out with getting the rythm on the guitar. anyway the person who sed that they were playing for 3 months and knew a lot of songs told me that they were just joking. but i really have been playing for only 8 months and can play 33 full and in time dave songs. the most recent song i've learned is over the hills and far away by led zeppelin. theres a tough one but i've been practicing it and i finally got it. try that song. its awesome. anyway..no sarcasm intended for my other post. o yea....The Dave Matthews Band is the BEST BAND EVER!! later

I think the majority of the people wanna hear a recording of your playing. Its not to say we dont believe you but to learn 33 songs perfectly in 8 months it just sounds a little far fetched. So why dont you just prove us all wrong with a recording.

honestly its not far fetched...i learned almost every dave song within that time frame, but its getting them to sound as crisp as dave that takes so long to master

Yeah Im aware of that, you can learn them quick. But in his initial post he made it sound like he could play them amazingly good already, thats why I just wanna hear a recording.

didn't read any of the posts but

Over the hills and far away is an awesome song to learn!! Might just be my favorite Zepplin song. Everyone here needs to go learn that song right now if they don't know it already!

over the hills....is awesome. i atttempted it long long time ago and never looked back. :?
as for the 8 months stuff, im sure its possible but as far as getting everything to sound as it should and playing things w/ the right technique, that could take more time. some of that muting stuff needs a good amount of time to get down. also, when first starting out, i didnt know for certain if what i was playing was correct. i assumed it was but you need more experience to know fo sho. but who knows, BFCfp-you could be a prodigy. kudos to you my friend.

ok. it's just when a newbie comes on and his only post is that he can play all these songs and he's amazing and then asks "do you think that learning all of dave matthews band material and being able to play it in time exactly like dave is good?" well heck yeah it is good. that questioin really didn't need to be asked. and that question just sounds like making fun of people that need to spend time learning. it seemed almost rude and that's why i thought it was sarcasm.

and i definately want to hear you rip it up. some of the guys around here can rock and i'd love to hear what you can do too.

Your original post came across as a little arrogant...and while I believe its completely possible to learn 33 songs in 8 months, I would bet money they could all use some work. No offense.

Post a recording, and prove me wrong. I'll admit it. :D
