Right click and save. Last one on the list. His strumming is unbelievable. The 614 sounds cool too.

I've had these for a LONG time. What happened (and you can actualy hear Dave talking about it onstage on the Gorge DVD) is that Jason was doing a side show during the day at the Gorge. Dave then showed up, Jason handed him his guitar, and he played Nancies, Loving Wings, and then ended with Gravedigger (he says is a sad bastard song). He also talks about the guitar being out of tune . . . actualy it really isn't lol. Also, Jason doesn't do anything on the stage when Dave is there. At the end of one of the videos, though, you can see Jason's crotch, and he grabs it . . . odd shot.
Oh yeah, guess who has the camera . . . Fenton.

This is a decent video for two reasons. The first is you finallly get to here a Dave tune on a "regular" guitar, meaning Mraz's guitar, to my knowledge doesn't have the same very expensive pickup system as Dave is accustomed to.
The second reason I love this video is because during the chorus of Nancies Dave hits a wrong chord and it just goes "thud" but he regroups and finishes.
The guitar is out of tune as well.

Jason Mraz is by far a better vocalist. You can't compare other singers to Dave because Dave has his own style and the timber of Dave's voice is very hard to copy and each and every nuance of Dave's voice that we love so much is so unique. Not to sound like I'm putting Dave down, but, he's not really an amazing singer, a good one, an INTERESTING one.tbillie41 wrote:and guess who he's trying to be like when he does them?phatnev wrote:Id reccomend downloading Java Joes from that site, Jason Mraz is an amazing artist and definitely has an incredible stage presence, hes the only one I would put ahead of Dave in that category, his adlibs and scats are unbelievable
Actually, Jason gave props to some of the jazz greats, like Ella, in an interview wherein he was described why he loves to scat.
