So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

BTW, the video is posted in the Trading Depot through Bit Torrent
Code: Select all
E-------------------
B----------------8--
G--2--8---8--8---8--
D--3--x---8--7---8--
A--3--6---6--6---6--
E--1---------8------
Pretty much the same thing Pat has...great tab man....just a small change
2nd chord is played on "Over and Ov-".....3rd chord is played on "-Er"...4th chord is played on "I'm gonna see"....5th chord is played on "Her"..then it repeats on the F chord back when he says "Face..."
anyone get that besides me???
Play that part 2 times then go into the "...Face" part
I just took a look at the video. I agree with the 6x8 them 688 thing. I can't why he would do that though. At first I thought it was a little fumble on his part, then I realized he's using his index and middle fingers for the 6x8 chord. (If he messed up, he would have at least used his index and pinky...catch my drift?)
The only thing I'm not hearing is that 6888 chord. I didn't see it/hear it in the video either. ?
edit: And the original fingering was correct, so I took that little note out.

Yeah, he def plays the 6x8 there with his ring finger then the 688...wierd, not sure why...but he does.
I also agree with the 6888 thing in not hearing it...but there is no doubt that Dave plays it at least once...Check out 2:20 and then 2:21.....That is a DISTINCTLY UNIQUE Dave fingering for a major barred chord w/ the root on the A string. He ALWAYS bars the DGB strings with his pinky instead of the usually used 3rd finger(you can see it on the last frame with the D barre chord and in any other song he plays that chord...crazy-easy...2nd chord of Dreaming Tree..etc). He might be playing the 86888x there? Maybe it's just 8688....he's def moving his pinky there to get it barred across at least the DG strings.
This is also a main reason when I tab(which is always from video), I like to get multiple vids because for all we know...Dave could have messed up on that ONE part. I should be getting more vids soon so hopefully so I'll cofirm these parts.

just curious, but how much bandwidth are you using, like monthly for example, and how much are you paying to have it up? I work at a webhost company

In case you missed it, there's 4 of us helping host. I used 30 gigs of transfer last month. No idea how much the others used.

Well I'm host a few just to not overload others'. Last month I went over by like 8 or 9 gigs, and I had to pay like 9 bucks. Not bad though. But I got an email saying my bandwith has been upped to 25 gigs a month, so I'll probably host a couple more.
And to everybody willing to host - Once I make the video, I'll PM you and you can put it on your server. Thanks guys, it really is a big help.

Hey guys...In less than a week, I've already gone over my limit, which means that I'm paying for everytime one of the videos that I'm hosting is downloaded. So if somebody could throw a few of the more recent videos up on their server, that would be ideal.

I don't want to sound demanding, it's just that I don't want to go over so much every month.
So yeah, when you put in on your server, PM me the link, and I'll edit the post. Thanks alot for doing this.

Dude, you're good to go on my server. Throw whatever you need... every video you're hosting, up on my server till the end of the month.

Oh ok. I was just afraid I'd go over the limit on yours. I'll throw a couple of the bigger ones on there. Thanks so much.

I know that it's a fairly easy song, but could you do #40?
