I always love playing the classics such as Warehouse, 41, Two Step, LIOG, and Stone. I can even really get into Pig.

Recently, though, I've REALLY found myself getting into the new material (well relatively new). Songs like Bartender, Grey Street, You Never Know, and now Stay or Leave. I've been working more on vocal then guitar recently and these songs have really been challenging not just in technique but in attempting to capture the emotion. The tab on this site for Stay of Leave is dead on!

Warehouse, and All Along The Watchtower. Warehouse is cool cause you can play two different ways. Like the LALC version, or the way he plays it at his shows.

Peace!!

Hey, I can't give you a recording (my feeble, lousy 56k modem would never be able to handle it even if pigs flew) but I can give you a few hints.
The biggest problem with playing Two Step is that like so many songs he plays, Dave sings off rhythm, and that makes it hard to judge where the chords go. First of all, If you are trying to play the song like on Crash of Listener Supprted, I feel your pain. I think both versions are two noisy and chaotic to play along with. If you can download or find a copy of the L@LC version of two step, get that version because it is so mch easier to listen to and get the gist of where the chords go in relation to his voice.
From start to finish, Dave is strumming at the same fast rhythm the entire song. He never stops. The chords do not fall on every word, but rather on certain sylibles, like this:
Hey--My--Love-I-C-T-Y-W-Best---In--ten-tions-You.......etc
----------------------------------1---------------------------------
----------------------------------1---------------------------------
10----7----9--------------------2----7----5---3-----10-----------
x------x----x--------------------3-----x---x---x------x------------
8-----5----7--------------------3-----5---3---1------8------------
10----6----8--------------------1-----6---5---3-----10-----------

Celebrate-We-will-------For-Life-is-Short-but-Sweet for-Certain....etc
----------------------------1---------------------------------------------1
----------------------------1---------------------------------------------1
9-----------3-------7--5--2-------------9---------3------------7--5--2
x-----------x-------x--x---3-------------x---------x------------x--x--3
7-----------1-------5--3--3-------------7---------1------------5--3--3
8-----------3-------6--5--1-------------8---------3------------6--5--1

Things---We--Can--Not---Change......
1--------------------------------------
1--------------------------------------
2----------7----5-----3-------10-----
3----------x----x-----x--------x------
3----------5----3-----1-------8------
1----------6----5-----3-------10----

Have lovely time playing this song.
I hope this helps you.

Lets' See....
I can play so many of his songs, so this is hard.....

1. Definitely Dancing Nancies. There are a lot of ways you play around with it; there's really no wrong and right way to play the song.

2. Cry Freedom is a close second. Plus I know a little trick that makes it sound like Tim Reynolds is playing in the background during the chorus. During the "Brother sister go dancing" part, bar the e through A strings on the second fret and positon the other fingers in a "D" position: 022454, then, keeping the fret barred in the same position, move the fingers to the 022442 position. This isn't really necessary, but it sounds cool.

3. Granny and Where are you going are tied at third. Granny is such a sweet little song and WAYG is so simple, hopeful, peaceful, and beautiful.
