Captain

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Code: Select all

"Roll me back again..."
E:---------------
B:--------2------
G:-4---3--2---1--
D:-x---x--2---2--
A:-2---1--0---2--
E:---------------

There HAS to be something between the A and the E, is it a D or something? SOMETHING has to be missing...

that happened to me too. the band's sound is so think sometimes i can't hear the guitar. i was thinking there was something else after the E, but no.

no the video did help, it was my brain that did not.

i played along with the video (that's how i've been learning the songs lately) and then put play with the CD. with captain though, i just thought i was missing something with the timing, it took me a while to figure out.

as always, the videos are awesome. i noticed you have one for BOWA now too, which is another of those songs i just can't hear the guitar well enough on to figure out. 8)

the difference between the vid and what i hear with the summer 02 captains and after (rcmh included) is that how he accents the chords on certain strums, and you dont do that in the vid. The vid is also played faster, those two things combined make it confusing. I think that the vids are awesome and everything though, that particular one is just misleading. Thanks to the great people around here though I nailed the song and ill be able to play if for my GF for here bday on the 8th.
