So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

making the best of what you got...

Unread post by Dead Dawg » Sat Apr 19, 2003 4:36 pm

Im trying to record a decent demo for theses bars around my area...i already have been playing bar and coffee house gigs for the past year just about every week...i have made a demo but it came out bad and i only used it to give to the talent sho people at my skool....i have an analog tascam 4 track (the cheapest). A behringer 100 dollar compressor. A lexicon effects processor. and a powered Kustom PA mixer. A small condenser microphone (made basically for live guitar reproduction) and an audio technica dynamic microphone. what can i do to make it sound good with what i have now..im kinda broke cause ive been using my money to pay for food and car stuff. Also i find if i hit a G note on the e string there is a loud distorted sound on the recording...what can i do about that....any info or comments would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks
Dave

Get this if you wanna convert your files: http://www.etree.org/mkw.html you just open the program after youve downloaded/installed it and you hold control down, click on the songs you want to convert and drag them into the window to change them to mp3. Look on that site, it should give you step by step instructions.
