So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

And he took the guitar and continued to play country crap. Well, the punch line to this story is....later that year the same guy died of a drug overdose. Sad but true..... so don't F*** with Dave!
I had always firmly believed that drugs, country music, and death were all somehow connected. That's all the proof I needed!

All good suggestions for Jam songs but, Xoosh, I like how you opened up the door for jamming on the slower pieces. Don't get me wrong, I love jamming out on Jimi or LIOG as much as the next person but a piano player friend and I can REALLY get into some nice jams on pieces like Pay For What You Get and ESPECIALLY I'll Back You Up. We've done I'll Back You Up in lengths of 10-15 minutes before....such a sweet little song.

I would have to agree with everyone that said LIOG! Gotta love the song and its fun to play.
Dave Matthews' percussive, drum-like technique, complex chord voicings, and melodic single-note line seamlessly blend with tightly-shaped tunes and free-form jams to create one of the true original sounds of our time.

i like to play LIOG a lot and people said it was really annoying... given they have horrible taste in music :(
