So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

On the Stay chorus...
Code: Select all
E:-----------------------------------------
B:-----------------------------------------
G:-7----10----7----5----7----10----7-------
D:-8----8-----8----5----8----8-----8----3--
A:-6----8-----6----3----6----8-----6----3--
E:--------------------------------------1--
How are you guys strumming it (where are you slapping?)...
And on the transition/jam thing...
Code: Select all
E:---------------------------------------------
B:---------------------------------------------
G:---------------------------------------------
D:-----8-----8--------------x--x-x-------------
A:--------7-----7-----------10-x-10---6--7--8--
E:-6---------------6--7--8-----8------6--7--8--
1 3 2 3 2 1 1 1 3 1 3 1 1 1
Are you picking the notes like Dave appears to do on the LS DVD, or strumming/muting like he does on the FF DVD/LiC Video...

i think that the chorus is just strumming, if you can believe it...it is probably one of the most mellow guitar parts dave does, until the F chord on the first fret...there is a slap/strum there...the jam i usually pick the individual notes and strum the ones with more than one note.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

I thought that's what he was doing, but he seems to pause and miss a few strums here and there...I was just curious...
Thanks for the help...
Oh and the jam part is a little more energetic if I strum it, but the picking sounds fine too...he seems to play it both ways...

yeah, i think when he is jumping around and dancing, he's not even worring about what he's hitting...
