hey Jayme and Pat,

thanks for hooking me up with the WWYS jam i think i can finally say i got it pretty much down. I appreciate the help. In Fact I appreciate it so much I gonna ask for some more. I'm really getting into the songs on the EVERYDAY album so I'm starting to mess around with them and I've hit a road block on everyday. The "end of verse" part is just not clicking with me i play the notes but they just don't seem to flow right when i play them. another slow audio snippet (because I'm slow hahaha) and/or a video would be great. Thanks again guys.

Yeah I would be interested in "If a had a boat" too!

Also, I have a request. I am sort of new to playing Dave. I can't seem to get the last part of the Lie in Our Graves verse (see below). When I play it, it just doesn't sound right I assume my tempo/rythm is off??? A quick mp3 of that would help me out tremendously!

Code: Select all

E:----------2--
B:----------3--
G:--4--4----2--
D:--2--2----0--
A:-------------
E:-------------
Thanks for your help guys!

Can anybody here do a clip of every part of Raven? I have no idea how the rhythm or timing goes in that song. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanx :D

These are all well and cool; jkgsu (sorry, don't know your name), your When The World ends sounds way off. No palm mutes? Don't get mad, just noticing.

Anyway, could somebody do the verse to The Stone? I just started on it a few minutes ago, and I can't for the life of me hear it on the cd to match rhythm with the latter part of the verse riff.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.

Ill try and put a stone up, Im not sure how dead on my version is, its always sounded off but maybe it could help. Ill still try and put up if I had a boat soon, I just got back from a long weekend at my gf's. thomp, you have the end of that verse and the beginning of it there, I dont know if thats confusing you but Ill put up something slow. As for my When the World Ends, I dont know about way off. something might be missing there but it still sounds fairly decent to me. If you wouldnt mind putting up a clip of your own Id like to hear how you play it so I can see if Im playin it wrong, cuz my version sounds good to me

I'm going to put up a video of the Stone, if that changes anything. I'm going to have to agree with lyrics101, but more with your clip of Two Step. The rhythm is off. Here's a clip I did for my olds thread - http://www.patmcinnis.com/twostepclip.mp3

If youre doin stone I wont, thanks for the clip, my rhythms been shaky in that song and youre both prolly right, Ive never really gotten the palm muting thing down, sometimes you learn a song and assume its correct and just never realize it or learn it the "right" way after that

The actual playin of that two step sounds better than mine, but the whole goin into the chorus and the lenght of some of the chords being played and some other stuff are off. You can play it better than me but it didnt flow like the real song, or was that just a quick thing to help someone

it was just a quick thing. I didn't actually play "Two Step", I played the parts of it.
