for the "i am the captain of this ship....." part, you play the verse, right? o and btw, i just started learning this song and after playin it for about 20 mins my wrist is killing me.

there has been a lot of discussion on the boards over this song, any threads with "captain/crazy" involved have came up a bunch, i know kanter once mentioned having a far away video and having trouble seeing what was going on, but, i think the site covers it,

for the part you are talking about, play the verse, the site should have most everything covered if you just listen closely and piece together whats there...

if you check the board archives, there is also a lot of listing of alternate ways to play it(one by myself included) so you can dink around with that too.

as for the wrist pain.... what can ya do? one of three things... get used to it and it will suddenly become a thing of the past, ... get used to it and get carpeltunal someday... or quit playing dave(ha, yeah right)

yeah the verse but you play the A chord (5-4-2-6-x-x) twice as long.

and maybe the action is a little high on your guitar. or maybe your pushing to hard on the strings. or maybe your just normal it hurts. but your hand will stretch out and it'll get in shape too. Crash is a good song to give your hand a work out. so is satellite, billies, the stone.

yeah, im sure the pain will go away, its already getting a little better. i can play crash and satellite for a while without any trouble so im sure it will go away eventually. btw, this is a very fun song to play.
