So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

stumming vs. picking

Unread post by Jmz5 » Thu Mar 27, 2003 12:58 pm

Do you guys strum the begining of Rapunzel or pick it?
Same with: Lie in our Graves
Jimi thing
I tend to pick, just because I have trouble muting the strings. Is is possible to become and effective guitar player, by picking these notes or
strumming them?
Jam on!

the main part of LIOG is picked, except for the D chord of course. i believe rapunzel is basically strummed, id ont know it's kinda in the middle. the very first notes of the jimi thing riff is picked, but the rest is strummed with muting.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...
