when the world ends remix

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

when the world ends remix

Unread post by gregplaysguitar » Thu Mar 20, 2003 7:32 pm

I was suprised by how much the song sounds nothing like the original. All that is the same is the fact that dave is singing....hm......not sure if I like this yet.

hmmmm for some reason that thread didnt show up as new... or maybe I just user-errored it and didn't pay any attention...

as for the song... well.... its different. whenever i see the name "paul oakenfold" i get scared... in the ps2 game 'frequency' his song gave me the most trouble on expert level, but i digress...

the remix was.... well.... something about taking a guitarist like dave and making one of his songs a techno-y tune just seems unsettling.... but i *do* like the change into the chorus (i'm gon rock you like a baby)... thats cool. i give it an apprehensive 7/10. its cool to do once. but dont make a habit out of it.

thanks for the link, btw...

[Already posted my opinion in the other thread but I'll elaborate a little here.]

I do like it, I think it's interesting and new. If they would fix the already-mentioned wrong-key-problem in the verses, I think it would be very interesting... the chorus is pretty bad-ass.

i think it sounds horrible.....Sorry but i think it ruins the song.....The new musical backing for the song doent fit the voice.....hopfully what ever I heard was a fake remix or something.

Got no love for paul oakenfold. Dave + Paul = lame trance

i agree.. this whole remix (i found by the way) is just .. blah.. i dunno... the "techno" just takes away from the song... There is only one song i can currently think of that doesnt have dave playin guitar, that i actually like ("Sing Along" w/ blue man group and dave). its just akward to hear that song...
