So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I was lookin around at the guitars on ebay uk and came across this >>>
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 88442&rd=1
Just was wonderin did Dave do this guitar with Martin..? As I thought his was called a DM3MD, but the pic on ebay it shows doesn't look like one to me - so was jus wondering if its like real or..?
Just wanted to ask as no ones bidded for it - and its only £700.00 pounds! (thats like jus over 1,000 $'s) So cheap man
Anyways sorry for posting this like, but I just wanted to know if anyone knew if this pic of the guitar is a DM3MD or...
Cheers
p.s the guy/lass also says on ebay that dave signed it, but on the pic you can't see no autograph...

It definetly isn't a dm3md, it doesn't have that 2 different wood headstock from what I see in the pics
it just doesn't look like one at all(and by signitures, if it were the dm3md, he meant the fretboard inlay and the in-soundhole signiture)

I just sent him this email: "Could you please tell me the serial number and any pics of the headstock, back of the guitar, and inside the soundhole would be great. This is a very limited and expensive guitar and your description and pictures are not nearly informative enough. Id like to make sure this is really one of the 234 that were ever made and not a knock off. Sorry for being untrusting but you really cant tell for sure from your auction."
Ill let you know his response if/when he gets back to me.

It's REALLY hard to tell with that lighting, but the pearl inlay on the 21st fret and signature card inside are clearly visible. The 2-wood inlay on the back is clearly visible through the soundhole.
I don't know if he actually has posession of the guitar, but if he does, the guitar in that picture is definitely a DM3MD. I have one, and it looks just like my baby.

I did a zoom-in on that picture, and changed the lighting a little bit, it's very blurry but you can still make out the two-tone headstock.

I would have to say, if I had the money to get one, I would design my own to my specifications, and put my signature on it. So the guitar was desinged for me, not someone else, and in the end it would be worth more to me, because it's my guitar, my design, and no one else's
. . . my two cents.
Yes, I am in a box

it definately is a dm3md. If you look at the pic of the guitar when it's on the floor, you can see the signature headstock. Its tough to see, but it's there.

Nope, he hand signed it once on the inside. The 21st fret is just a pearl-inlay of his signature.

This DM3MD was up on ebay a couple of weeks back. It's the second time someone started a fake auction using this particular DM3MD.
This was the first auction.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :B:SS:US:1
The second auction was taken down by ebay but there was a thread about it.
.

This new ebay seller does not have it. He stole the pictures from the old auction and created a new one. Never buy from a seller with no feedback
"Thank you everybody so much again for tonight. We hope you had a good time with us. We're kind of relaxed and y'all hopefully y'all relaxed too. This is beautiful humidity. We enjoy it and everybody take care of yourselfs. Muaha..." DM
