osw muting

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I use mostly my index finger, But is actually a combination of the index, ring, and middle.. for me at least.

The trick is to just continually strum, instead of picking out the individual 6-8-7

i actually use my whole left hand. it just kind of lays itself down right after the slide to 10 and i go right back into it. if that don't help download farmaid, there's a really good angle of osw and it's dave solo!

You should be doing most of the mutes with your index finger in this song.
on the 88//1010 slide The index finger mutes all strings but The D string and the G string. when you complete the slide release the tention on the D and G strings and strum two or three mutes (the index finger mutes all the strings.) The LIOG verse example was good also in the verse to wasting Time I play it 8 10 xx xx 8 8
