Does anyone else do this??!!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Whenever I want to play a Marin like lets say a Dm3md or a Taylor like lets say a 914c I get my lazy ass off the bed walk across the room and pick it up!!!!!! 8)

Sorry about that but I felt as if I had too. It is a dream come true to look over in the corner of my room and see those two guitars looking at me.
Actully it sucks having to choose which one to play.

What's the problem, Elliot?

Yeah, I go go GC quite a bit. I've purchased quite a bit from them so I don't feel as if I'm doing anything wrong. And....when I do finally get that Taylor 314ce, it'll be from there.
Peace,

Some things from my experiences:

margureites music in town here, won't let you use picks in the acoustic room(fuckin bullshit),

i hate when you grab an out of tune guitar, or one with worn or dirty strings,

Music Go Round--i hate when you get kicked out of the play room cuz of lessons(have a separate room for gods sake), and when you play out in the open they tell you to keep it down(fucking gay),

i like when places have NICE guitars, not a bunch of average stuff, i like when the sales people dont sit and fuck with you or give a dirty look if you come in and play for a while and dont buy shit,

just a few of my thoughts, whatever they are worth

TRIPPING BILLIES--- :P and i ate a red popcicle

Well come on guys, it's not like you can blame the guitar shops for not being thrilled with people coming in and playing the guitars when they have no intention of buying. Whenever you touch one of their guitars, they take a chance that you might do something to damage it. I've never heard of a guitar shop making someone buy a guitar because they put a slight ding in the top, but they have to mark down their prices big time because of that ding. If you go into a guitar shop only to play the guitars and do nothing to support them, you only hurt them, as the least you do is wear out the strings, causing the shop to have greater costs because it has to buy new strings more often for its guitars, and there's also a good chance that people buy fewer guitars, because the guitars they play don't sound good because their strings have all been beaten to death by folks who had no intention of buying a guitar in the first place. I'm not saying that going in and trying out a few guitars is a bad thing, as long as it's done respectfully. I've done it myself in the past. But I am saying that it's unresonable to expect the shop people to be really happy about the fact that you're coming in and degrading their product while not supporting them. I think refusing you a pick is a fine rule, as it's really easy to put a scratch in the top of a nice guitar and all of a sudden they're out $200. And sure, there are a few shops that are really laid back about it, and that's really nice of them. But those folks that are a little more frustrated have every right to be.

well, i didnt mean to sound to degrading on the shops, but, i think they should do this

you broke it you bought it(or have to pay for proper repair)

if they can tell you are a dumb ass about playing guitar, they should be able to make you step down

i buy shit from these shops all the time,

they rip you off anyways

sorry if i sounded a little non friendly in my first post, i love the shops in general, i was just pointing out a few things

is the v neck worth the extra $350 or whatever it is... i was offered an hd-28 for the 1600 ballpark
To be honest I dont think the V neck alone is worth the extra money. However, the Herringbone bracing provides a slight better sound to my ears. Little more sharper in tone and not as mellow or bassy.
