Tim Reynolds Space thing pedal?

Unread post by TheDreamingTree » Sun May 16, 2004 11:57 am

I was wondering what pedal Timmy uses for that space sound. I think its the Ernie Ball Mono Volume Pedal, I'm not sure tho.

Thanks,
Tim

do you have any concept how hard it would be to play a wah-wah and a volume pedal at the same time. it just doesn't make sense.

almost everything tim does (especially acoustic) is a volume+delay thing. you can change delay time and create weird lazer noises, and uses the volume to eliminate the attack does it.

i didn't mean at the same time.. i meant using one for certain swoops and stuff and the other for other sounds

Yeah, his website says he uses both. Ernie Ball Mono Volume Pedal and Morley Pro Series 1 Wah Volume (PWV). He also gets some spacy sounds from the Mooger Fooger.

I know i searched on both websites but neither give me definate answer. I just wanted to make sure the pedal I listed was the right one. That's why i said "I think its the Ernie Ball Mono Volume Pedal, I'm not sure tho."

I haven't seen this question in a long time, and if he has a question, what better place than here to ask it.

hey guys, that effect is a setting on the Line 6 DL-4 called something like auto-volume wah. That's the same pedal Howie Day uses for looping, but besides that I think its the best delay pedal there is. Store three different settings and easy tap tempo always available. But yeah, I use that effect all the time on mine. In theory, it is a volume swell and a wah pedal, but to do that with a volume pedal and wah pedal would be hard. But anyway, with the DL-4 its so easy...just set it the way you like and its always ready.

Which songs does he use what you're talking about on?
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

The 3/29/03 LIOG (during the long end jam), Two Step (during the beggining of Timmy's solo), #41 (Timmy's solo at end)
and many many others

sounds to me a lot like reverb with delay.
