the thing about jimi

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

It's starting to sound decent. It's just really choppy. Practice I will!

Download that program Transcribe from download.com. You can slow tracks down to like 1\2 speed. It helped a few times.

when u play jimi thing do you go down to 6,7 on the third and forth string or just move the a chord over and hammer on the 3rd fret?i know what the tab says but the same notes are on the second and third string at the second fret.

i can play the entire song until the real like slow part.. I dont think that Kanters tabs are right for this... like where it goes to where they play 2 chords. and dave uses that whispy voice (L@LC). Anyone got this part down?

eric vormann has a kickass tab of it.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

i think the reason its 6h7 on the g and not 2h3 on the b is so you can let the A string ring out. and sometimes i like to slide up

Some of my friends struggle with this, too. Personally, I don't understand it- it took me five minutes to learn, and is a pretty basic song.

Eh, you'll snag it sometime.

Dude, that shit is off the hook.

I don't recall the tabs here laid out like that.

Did you get that off this site or figure that our on your own?

...i dont get it either...jimi took me .... 7 minutes? ya... 7 minutes...what took me longer with it was switching between the verse and the pre chorus, and the pre chorus to chorus and such...the intro i thought was easy and fun as nut. ^_^ good luck...
With dave stuff..jsut try to feel it...listen to it and close your eyes and hear every nook and cranny (?) of the riff or lick or whatever flip flop...and then....look at the tab...and it will click like a stick m'friend.
