I JUST ORDERED MY NEW MARTIN!!!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Stinky, just so you know, it's "Platonic" not "Plutonic." I'm not trying to be nitpicky or anything, just letting you know. The term "Platonic" comes from the philosopher Plato, who talked about the idea that there existed what he called "forms." These forms were the perfect incarnations of whatever object they were. So "Platonic" love is perfect love. Over the years, the meaning has changed quite a bit to where it no longer means perfect love, but rather abstinent love.

Just passing along a thought of mine and not trying to raise a controversy. I donated $30 dollars to this site when you made a cry for finicial help about a month ago or so to fund improvements. Now I cant help but think that the $30 bucks I gave went to your new Martin. Hum. When are the improvements and additions coming? I guess it all evens out in the end.
Sigh....I knew something like this would happen. I know you took back your statement, but things have been going on that you don't know about and also you should read the other posts in this thread...particularly by me.

First off, if you sent me $30...I can't thank you enough. Money through PayPal comes in as your Name and not username from the boards. I don't know who gave really and I really should have e-mailed everyone personally thanking them but I have been working like crazy lately.

Let me clear a few things up:
1) I just Payed $200 to my host to give us 30B MORE BANDWIDTH/MONTH. The site was going to be shutdown otherwise. We serve 2GB PER DAY of Data. That comes out to 60GB/MONTH which is unheard of for such a specific site that was just started for fun. We get up to 3,500 people a day to the website....check out our stat counter(THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE BOARD STATS....it is only on dmbtabs pages...not the boards):
http://extremetracking.com/open;unique?login=dmbtabs

2) I had also just paid my host $100 from my own pocket because we needed a first 15GB more per month to get us to 30. We started with only 15GB/Month.....we needed another 45...that is expensive

3) 1 User was kind enough to send me a $100 check. He knows who he is and I don't know if he wants to be named or not(he can do it if he wants) but for now I'll keep it a secret. That money he sent saved the site for now. I did not have another $100 to send in for the extra bandwidth and he helped ALL OF YOU. He also sent me another check that is coming soon. You all want more video's....which so do I....but the more video's...the more bandwidth needed and the more money needed to run the site. It isn't easy and you have no idea how much $$$ has already gone into the site besides that extra bandwidth.

FOURTH AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:
That Guitar was bought for me BY MY PARENTS FOR MY 21ST BIRTHDAY. They gave me $500 for a guitar....the guitar costs $910(incl shipping)....oh yeah, read above also......The other $410 came from the money my parents got from my grandpa's(who passed away last november) house that sold. My mom knew how much I wanted the guitar and said this would be my grandpa's last birthday gift to me. So you know what that means........I DID NOT PAY FOR A SINGLE PENNY OF THIS GUITAR

All I ever do is to help the DMB Tab Community. I don't try to take money from generous people and spend it on personal gain. It troubles me that anyone would write anything like that considering how much time I put into a PURELY OPTIONAL project. You try juggling school and a "job" with people asking where their updates are.

I know you apologized and I beleive you, but seriosuly....come on....sorry, just got back from Phish show and has the most amazing time ever(B.B. KING GUESTED FOR 45MIN!!!). That post just got to me....sorry for ranting and raving....all love here hd28v.....Thank you everyone else for the praise and all that....peace all

By the way jkanter, I too ordered a Martin D16RGT recently. It arrived yesterday afternoon and let me just say you will not be disappointed. I think the week that it took to get here was the longest of my life but I was well rewarded when it finally arrived. Enjoy.

I take back this statement. You have probably put more time and energy into this site than anyone could have and you deserve a new Martin. I am just glad you did not get a Taylor. (cheap shot) lol
be thankful you thought enough to take it back...you really wrongfully assumed some things...watch yourself...I almost banned you.
