Odd question but... What kind of pick do you use?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I generally use the hardest picks cause I want the boomy sound out of my Martin but sometime for strumming I notice it slows me down compared to a thinner pick. Just curious if anyone has a preference of their own.

I have been playing around with a lot of strings for the last 30min or so. I have really light strings on my guitar right now, and it seems that the light picks go best with the light strings.

I was even using a .60mm pick and it the strings were ringing a lot.

My favorite pick ever. I don't let my roomates take them. They're like, my precious..... It just feels so good in between your thumb and finger.

I use anything between .46 nylon to 2.0 tortex depending on the sound I want. Sometimes I hate that clicky sound.

I use light/soft and am currently using the "light" picks that Sam Ash lets you take for free. For some reason, I actually like it more than the Dunlop Tortex Reds I was using before.

I use Dunlop Tortex as well, usually the orange ones but I use thicker ones when I play electric. Its worth noting that those are great because they are nearly impossible to break.

Whatever I can find, I generally switch depending on what kinda song I wanna play. Normally range 50's and those fat ass blue tortex's.
