So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

bad things/songs dmb???

Unread post by thestonedmb41 » Sat Aug 28, 2010 12:08 am

People seem to not like tim reynolds with the full band. I think he just needs to lower the distortion. but he is an amazing guitarist. also people seem to have a lot of problems with everyday and stand up. its not classic dmb but I think the songs are a different genre but its still good music. The only songs that can get a little tiresome and bad is angel and sleep to dream her. mother father is a hated song but i actually think santana's lead on it is really good. I dont see why everyone hates it. I think the rest of the album is good, what everyday is missing is more jams and more from sax and violin. it is more of a dave and carter taylor album. but its still good songs. if i had it all, i did it, and when the world ends, so right, what you are and fool to think are really good songs. the space between is not that good, can manage a listen every once in a while. dreams of our fathers also is not that good. Stand up. i think that is a pretty good album. hello again has a real nice drum beat. you might die trying is sick live like at the mile high festival was one of my favs of the night. steady as we go is the only weak song on the album. old dirt hill is good d&t style. american baby is so gnar with dave solo or full band with a long jam at the end. american baby intro is also a pretty sick intyro when they jam with it for a while and went into 41. stolen away has an awesome mellow sax/guitar. I also think the new album is pretty good. the b side is the best though. beach ball is like a new stay or leave. little red bird reminds me of a real good beatles tune like across the universe or blackbird. the cornbread studio version is average. way better live. write a song is pretty chill. on the front side, lying in the hands of god is def one of the best DMB songs, especially live when they just keep the sax and trumpet soloing for like 15 minutes. you and me and funny the way it is are good poppish songs. squirm is b.a. dave and tim. time bomb is okay. probably the weakest on the album. reminds me of a bruce springsteen sounding song. seven is awesome. shake me like a monkey is also a pretty sweet song. squirm is iffy. spaceman is good. baby blue is really calming. like sister.
