warehouse help

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

On the 7 (E-string) down up
On the 9 (A-string) down up
On the 11(D-string) down up down
On the 7 (G-string) up up
On the 9 (D-string) down up
On the 10 (A-string) down up
On the 9 (A-string) down up
That's the way I play it and it is really accurate to what Dave plays at listener supported. You just have to figure out the rhythm and of the strumming and mute the strings that are not played. Hope that helps.

Now I've got a question too: Does anybody have the lyrics to the warehouse version of Life at Luther Collage. English is not my first language and I just can't figure out certain parts...Please help.

warehouse

By: Dave Matthews Band

Hey reckless mind
Don't throw away your playful beginning
You and I let us fumble around in the touches
And be sure to

Leave all the lights on
So I can see the black cat changing colors
And walk under ladders
And travel my eyes over you

Hey we have found
Becoming one in a million
Slip into the crowd
This question I found in the gap in the sidewalk

Keep all your sights on
The black cat changing colors
I can walk under ladders
And swim as the tides choose to turn me

And here I sit
Life goes on, end of tunnel, TV set
Spot in the middle
Static fade, statistic bit
And soon I fade away, fade away

This I admit
Taste so good, hard to believe an end to it
Smell touch feel
How could this rhythm ever quit
Bags packed on a plane
Hopefully to heaven

Shut up I'm thinking
I had a clue now it's gone forever
Sitting over these bones
You can read in whatever you're needing to

Keep all your sights on
The big bad black cat that's
Changing colors

It's not the colors that matter
But that they'll all fade away

This I admit
Seems so full
Hard to believe an end to it
Warehouse is bare
Nothing at all inside of it
Walls and halls have disappeared

My love I love to stay here
In the warehouse

Glad to help!
peace, brendan

the luther college version is a little different:

Warehouse

("Passion" Intro)

Hey, reckless mind
Don't throw away your playful beggining
You and I will fumble around in the touches
And be sure to...

Leave all the lights on
Man, the black cat changing colors
And we can walk under ladders
And swim as the tide turns you around and around

Hey, we have found
Becoming one in a million
Slip into the crowd
This question I found in a gap in the sidewalk

Keep all your sights on
Man, the black cat changing colors
And we can walk under ladders
And swim as the tide choose to turn you

And here I sit
Life goes on, end of tunnel, TV set
Spot in the middle
Static fade, statistical bit
Soon I'll fade away, I'll fade away

Oh, but this I admit
Seems so good, hard to believe an end to it
Ware-- touch, feel
How could this rhythm ever quit?
Bags packed on a plane
Hopefully to Heaven
Away...

Shut up, I'm thinking
I had a clue now it's gone forever
Sitting over these bones
You can read in whatever you're needing to

Keep all your sights on
Man, the black cat changing colors
And not the colors that matter
But that we all fade away
Yeah, yeah, yeah...

And I...

(Scat)

They fade away,
I'll fade away

Oh, but so too hard to admit
All seems so good
I can't believe this could have been here
Oh, man and turn and...

(Scat)

Soon I'll fade away...
I'll fade away...

(Scat)

My love I love to stay here
My love I love to stay here...

Here inside the Warehouse
Where our blood is flowing
The Warehouse
Oh, where the hearts are bumping
The Warehouse
Everything seems to be glowing
The Warehouse
Wouldn't you love to stay here?
The Warehouse
Don't you love to stay here?
The Warehouse
Oh, we're overexcited
The Warehouse
Don't you love to stay here?
The Warehouse
Every man and woman look alive...

That's our blood down there
Seems poured from the hands of angels
Then trickle into the ground
Leaves the Warehouse so bare and empty

And my heart's numbered beat
Will echo in this empty room
And the fear wells in me
Yet nothing seems big enough to stay
So I'm going away...
Man, I'm going away...

"Thank y'all. Tim."

Live at Luther intro

Unread post by borocks » Tue Feb 18, 2003 9:07 am

Thanx for the lyrics!!!

Another question about the L@LC intro:
What does Dave play there?
First it sounds like 7-x-x-x-x-x and then maybe
7-9-x-x-x-x and 7-10-9-x-x-x

It don't know if this makes any sense. Does anyone know an appropriate way to play this L@LC intro of warehouse?

Thanx for your help
Peace, Bo.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.
