stay or leave help please

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

stay or leave help please

Unread post by maybeitskarma » Thu Jan 15, 2004 3:05 pm

so i've started trying to master stay or leave, and i played it with the capo on the 7th fret.... it sounds great... but then i got curious, raised B tuning?? i tried it and proceeded to break every single one of the strings on my guitar.... i didn't mind so much because i had a fresh set of elixirs waiting in my case, but still.... dave may be an amazing musician, but getting a guitar to raised B tuning has to require some sort of magic.... anyone else have this problem... ??? going from a D up to an A seems like some sort of physical impossibility... any comments or suggestions are most welcome.

You need totally different strings with totally different gauges, dude.

Just stick to the capo.
