Crash Strumming
I'm having trouble with the strumming on crash into me...I tried to hit the bass notes on the upstroke but I can't quite get it. Does anyone pluck out the non-fretted strings with a spare finger on your left hand?

crash
CPtino,
do you mean muting? yeah the unfretted note, usually the d-string in the tab, you cover it with your index as it frets the A string. when you play the 4-X-2-4-5-0 chord, you mute the A string with your middle finger which is on your low E string on the 4th fret. does that help ya?
I recommend down strummming the bass notes. than alternate up and down on the high strings like wafflejam said. Good luck
peace,
Ken
