One Sweet Intro
i just learned the intro to that song
i had put off learning it for soooo long
anyways it took me about an hour and a half of practicing before i was able to play along with the cd
just wondering if im a slow learner or what
how long did that take you, everybody that knows it?

Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."

that was the same thing with me, i put off learning it for a long time. i would learn some parts, and then not play it forever. i actually just finally finished learning it yesterday, finishing off the "take all that we can get..." part and learning it completely. that doesn't seem to long to learn the song. id say you did a good job.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

i agree, sweet intro. it took quite some time to get down cuz its all memorization o the notes, and i played it way too much also, got sick of it a bit. but it is so nice to play. a very creative intro i must say

dont play it too much or youll end up like these guysLevi wrote:I didn't even realize that intro existed! It's pretty cool, I learned the gist of it last night and I can do it this morning pretty well. I learned the rest of the song when I first started playing and it got old after a bit, but now that I can do this intro I can't stop playing it.

took me about a half hour or so. I'm just trying to get together with my sax-playing friend to jam to it. First time i heard it was the BS webcast and it was soooo cool the first time I heard it. I didn't know it was the same everytime, but it's definatly awesome.
no, you are definatly not a slow learning, everybody learns at a different pace. I'm sure some people would take days and days to learn it.

Of all of Dave's songs, there is something about this one that I just can't get....UGGGGHHH!! IT's the mutes/scratches on the opening riff....god I just can't get the timing down. Every other part of the song is pretty simple, but because of this little part it keeps me from really feeling comfortable with the song. God it pisses me off.
