So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

#41 Intro Question

Unread post by jaymagnum » Thu May 31, 2007 9:10 am

I'm having some problems with finding the correct rythm during the 5-4-x-3 portion of the intro. Does anyone know how long to strum before moving to the hammer on and how long to strum those chords. I have the stretches down, just trying to understand the last part of the intro tab a little better. Thanks.

That part took me awhile to get down perfect, my problem was I was just trying to play it with out listening to the song..... What helped me was listening to L@L over & over while playing it over & over.... Also, when I get off work I'll try and play it and see if I can help you out with any tips.

you can count it out very easily. you strum the chord for two beats, then each hammer on is on the subsequent beat. strum strum hammer hammer.
