I would like help with this part in addition to the following part...."what day is it, besides the day you left..." so basically I know the main riff, chorus but this bridge/break I don't know AT ALL! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Why do you use the 2nd instead of the 7th? No cutaway?

U have much more room for finger placement especially with the A minor and C chord formations. And yeah I don't have a cutaway.

this is how i play it also....it was one of the first songs i had my instructor tab out for me (2 1/2 years ago). i lost it (since then haven't played the song much) i have to have it laying around somewhere though, but it is going to take a lot of digging, i believe the first chord is, dm

Code: Select all

CAPO 2

Remember we used to dance
    F Dm

And everyone wanted to be
               C G

You and me

I want to be too
            Dm

What day is this
    F G

Besides the day you left me?
         F#/D Dm

What day is this
        F G

Besides the day you went?
              F#/D

then goes back to "so what to do with the rest of the afternoon" part

Yeah, the one my instructor tabbed for me was a bit different as I remember, sorry I couldn't find it though.

I did for about 3 months when i first started playing, that was almost three years ago. I think it really helped, because I didn't just go right into learning tabs. I kinda got the basic chords and notes down, then he helped me tab some of the stuff I liked out.

What's a Cutaway in the first place?

it's when there's part of the guitar cut away around the 15th-24th fret area to allow for easier fretting.

Guitar that has a cutaway:

doesn't have a cutaway

Ah!

I see, thanks for explaining! Hm, actually just got a Ibanez AW90, But hey, no need for a Cutaway at this very moment, maybe in a few years! haha

Cheers!
