Question of the day....
Question of the day....
I have learned most of the Dave songs that I know from looking at the tab and then playing the Rhythm from memory. I am curious as to whether any of you do the same or if you think that playing along with the music helps you play them more accurately?

I always play along with the songs, when learning/practicing them. some of them I can learn from memory but most of them I play along with to get the timing and rhythm. And plus its fun as hell!!skiizalot wrote:I have learned most of the Dave songs that I know from looking at the tab and then playing the Rhythm from memory. theres no reason why you shouldnt (except for the songs without much jamming in them like 'if i had it all'. i love soloing on that song, but playing along with it you never have enough time

it will help you get the rthym and on alot of dave songs its hard to remember all the changes in the right order unless you play along with the songs a bunch to get used to it
Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."
