Question of the day....

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Question of the day....

Unread post by skiizalot » Sat Jan 25, 2003 6:19 am

I have learned most of the Dave songs that I know from looking at the tab and then playing the Rhythm from memory. I am curious as to whether any of you do the same or if you think that playing along with the music helps you play them more accurately?

I always play along with the songs, when learning/practicing them. some of them I can learn from memory but most of them I play along with to get the timing and rhythm. And plus its fun as hell!! :)
good, and you?

ya man play with the songs
theres no reason why you shouldnt (except for the songs without much jamming in them like 'if i had it all'. i love soloing on that song, but playing along with it you never have enough time  )
it will help you get the rthym and on alot of dave songs its hard to remember all the changes in the right order unless you play along with the songs a bunch to get used to it
Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."
