StoryTellers Question.

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Tim does some stuff too. Their combined sound throws me off sometimes

Dave doesn't palm mute. He strums the song, focusing on the strings fretted (so he never plays the full guitar on the song. He doesn't tocuh the b or high e at all). Also some fingers just lay there naturaly, and mutes a few strings, as well as the fingers you are are using to fret, gently lay down on the string blelow it. JKanter has a video of it on here, should show you it in the works.

I think he took the video down, unless he put it back up...

It sounds like he gently mutes it, just enough so that everything doesn't ring out on its own... it gives technical parts like the TB verse extra "punch" and clarity because you can hear all the chords and notes individually... I do that all the time on my acoustic music, to the point I don't even notice it anymore.
