Chillin, The baritone sounds deep. Keep in mind, it's 5 half-steps lower than a standard tuned guitar. The strings are thicker, so it doesn't have the bright twang that a regular guitar will have. My person opinion is that it sounds best when amplified. Again, think about playing an acoustic bass. Y...

M-Audio MobilePre for SALE!! (Great for laptop/PC recording)

Fellow DMBTabbers- I'm selling a piece from my equipment line-up. As usual, my goal is to pass along a deal to a fellow forum member before selling to the masses at eBay. (For those of you that don't know, I've sold two guitars on here- great deals to VERY happy buyers. Ask Ranting about his guitar-...

I'm not certain about this, but I think your singing is flat... in other words, if your guitar were tuned down (not sure how much)... the key would be right on. Thats the feel I get.

Other than that, the vocals are cool... sounds decent.

I think that hearing whether or not you're in key simply comes with practice. At first I couldn't hear it, now I'm much better.... no secret formula... just from practicing singing.

Hey there... "Times Like These" is one of my favorite John Johnson songs, so I'm happy that someone covered it Good job... some recommendations: watch the 'key' of your vocals. I think that you're singing a few steps too low. I like simple interpretation of the song though... sort of sounds like Lou...

Thanks... that seems to be right on. Amazing how you can do so much with such a simple little riff.

Nike Cycling Commercial (link included) - Guitar Tab

So I was totally into watching the Tour de France coverage this year. The Nike Cycling commercial seemed to air every commercial break and I got hooked on the guitar riff. Can anyone tab it?

You can see the commercial here:

Thanks!

I recommend the DX1. I think that's a great guitar for the $$$. I know a store that's running a special on DX-1 on Saturday July 31st for $369. Email carl@pittsburghguitars.com if interested. Good guy and good store- maybe they'll ship.

I would be ultra-appreciative of a tab for "Fire Sign" by David Berkeley. The song is new and the mp3 can be legally downloaded for free from http://www.davidberkeley.com I really like the tune and it would be great to have a tab for it. Thanks! Correction: Sorry, looks like the free mp3 has been ta...

I've bought 4 and sold one. Two of the guitars I bought I had to have set up cause the action wasn't great. After that, they played very well and I was happy. The set-up was $15... not that big of a deal. Overall, I'm thumbs-up on buying and selling on eBay.

For $1200, I would just spring the extra nominal amount and purchase a guitar from a dealer. You'll get the warranty then. You could get any 300 series new for <$1200 or close, and the 400 series may be $1300-$1400... just a guess since I haven't priced them recently. Also, I occasionally see dealer...

Good job. I always liked this song and have covered it before... in fact, I was planning on making a recording and posting it on here soon! I like how you hit the highs... like 'Lift' at 1:09... that was very nice. My only point of constuctive feedback is that the song in general could be a little '...
