I have to agree that Dave definately does palm mute on occasion. I've heard him do it at the very beginning of Crush on the Bm chord, also he sometimes slightly palm mutes the very begginning of the Tripping Billies intro. And on acoustic versions of Gravedigger and yes it does sound like he palm mu...

I was referring to a guitar that I got priced through Buffalo Bros with the Martin Custom Shop. I asked them to price a guitar identical to a DM3MD. They said they could do it but without Dave's sig inlayed at the 12th fret. I was quoted a price of $2400 for this guitar, which in my opinion beats th...

I was actually quoted a price of $2400 for a custom shop guitar built to the exact specs as the DM3MD (minus the sig at 12th fret)(from Buffalo Bros.). Which I think is fairly reasonable. That was however, about a year ago so the price may have gone up slightly. The main reason i opted not to go for...

Dave and his fellow Grammy performers
With all due respect to Dave and his nice Beatle's tribute, how blown away was I by the White Stripes? That was some of the most inspired and ferocious playing I've ever seen, I have a totally new respect for Jack White as a player, I think he has a few more chops than I realized. And also (no matte...
