Re: Problems with mic recording

Thanks a lot, I've since gotten the equipment and set it up...it sounds so much better than the computer mic I had before. Just a couple quick tweaking questions. i know the obvious choice is to select "microphone" from the recording device menu, but there also are auxiliary, s/pdif-in, line in, and...

Re: Problems with mic recording

2.) Keep using your soundcard on your computer for the A/D analog to digital conversion. Buy an inexpensive mixer like a behringer http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=631238 and connect it to your computer with one of these: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=333053 I reall...

Re: Problems with mic recording

I'd like to keep it under 150 for sure. Like I said, I just want something that will sound relatively decent so I can fool around at home. I'm sure most anything that costs money will sound better than my default computer mic straight into the mic jack...I'm not all that picky I suppose.

Re: Problems with mic recording

Hey, what do you all think about this? If i'm reading correctly, this includes two mic's and a preamp: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=703626

Would this be all that I would need to get on with it?

Re: Problems with mic recording

Hey guys, this thread has been really helpful thus far and yet my very limited knowledge of anything other than the guitar has held me back from really understanding. I posted something over in the other instruments section because I saw a thread similar to this, but have since figured out it probab...

Re: Microphones... Which do you use?

going along with xenon's post, I know absolutely nothing about microphones/recording and I was thinking of getting a mic to fool around at home and record with my computer. I've been looking through the major music websites and have seen some mic's that plug directly into a USB and others that requi...

hey guys,

I appreciate the help, I picked up the guitar for $425 including tax and with the hardshell. The crack is less than a millimeter long and is not a problem. The guitar sounds absolutely beautiful with a fresh set of elixirs. Thanks for helping me buy this beautiful instrument![/i]

Should I Buy: Taylor 410 ?

Hey guys, I stumbled into a 1998 Taylor 410 at a local pawn shop. The guitar is in absolutely beautiful condition and the only problem I could find was a minute crack in the bridge. I'm sure it's just due to stress and it doesn't affect the sound as far as I can tell--it sounds great. The price is $...
