Can you point me in the direction of your favorite recording of yours?

Thanks for the comment. I'm a huge Wilco fan and actually had something similar to what you mentioned in mind for a future recording. Definitely some grungy guitar in the distance and yelling.

What do you do here in Boulder?

Thanks for the input. I was thinking about going somewhere else after the chorus, but I'll save that for recordings with my bass player when we can dynamically build tension before releasing into the "sun's too bright" part. I mess around with my breathing styles for emotional value. I could sing it...

Long time no see...new song of mine

It's probably been three years since I frequented this place. I was drawn back by the recent tragic news and remembered how much I used to rely on this board for reviews. So here's a demo of a song I wrote and recorded within the past month. Some things have already changed, but I enjoy the recordin...

Damn good cover miguel. Some of the percussion is a bit cheesy....is it sampled? I think I might prefer the cover without the percussion. Picky picky me.

I think the guitar is a bit loud in the mix. Guitar sounds good otherwise. The vocals sound pushed at times and are overall a bit thin. Maybe practice singing louder with more resonance. It's a good cover, but you should probably record songs in their entirety before posting them.

Thanks for listening guys! Apps, I know the vocals are a little bland...that's why I added the screaming harmonies toward the end. Playing live, I'll have to sing more dynamically to keep it interesting. And you're right about the transitions being a bit rough. This was recorded fairly quickly....in...

"For A Friend" -possibly my finest work

This is a solo venture that I finished recording last night. Feedback is appreciated as always.

Very nice cover. I like the crispness of the recording. Nothing bad to say about it. Have you ever heard the Crosby, Stills, Nash version? It's probably my favorite.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. It's strange how after listening to a recording a few days after recording it, all I can hear is what I don't like about it. I guess that's good though.

Hummingbird- a Wilco cover

I'm looking for a critique of this Wilco cover. Any takers?

Kenny Clark "Average Man"- First thing that catches my attention is the guitar progression, which reminds me of that song with "Ahhooooo, werewolves of London!" The doubled vocals don't really do it for me. I would prefer harmonies. It just makes it seem like there were mistakes in the first vocal t...
